WE GOT 'POPSICKLES' ND ALLSORTS... ... ...

Check it...

Custom Stuff...

We asked them for a 'Proto' of thier free hand 'branding', an amalgimation off two of their in house artisan services.. pretty kool, bespoke stuff..

The FreeHand service is local Artists who have turned their hand to bespoke pyrography pieces...
The Branding service is fairly self-explanitary.. same deal as FreeHand, just not so 'Free'..

The 'Green' one is another service offered by DRS, Complete and 'Finnished' plain decks with the coulor of your choice.. coulor can roll around the 'edge' or not..
We picked up a 'laqure' finnished in green.. but they have all sorts going on...

ZLBMarkWIA... ... ... ... ...

ZLBMarkWIA…

Hats off to the gentry from ZilvanLongboards on this one.. Really gotta ride it to believe…
A Genuine pleasure.. Super smooth, never faultered…

Put it through a few ‘Heritage’ runs (As we like to call them)… Routes and runs we have travelled for many moons.. Thus enabling a ‘pure’ focus on the boards beneath your feet… Quite surreal truth be known.. Indicative of a ‘trance’ like state of mind.. Slightly more responsive though… Probably crucially therapeutic…

Having done so.. more than one point raised in earlier pieces became apparent and ‘just’… Particularly the ’Solid’ ride.. And ‘ease of stride’.. and velocity gained from minimal effort, coupled with a ‘ board ‘n’ body ‘ cohesion.. Very pleasant.. Have to say.. Would gladly take on a ZLBMarkWIA to the quiver..

Standard setup would include the Plankail (PK)… Finely matched and adequate.. The Independents (Although ‘kept’ as a rolling ‘Mark‘) are beyond satisfactory…
Again suited to the ride, a ’Non Hinderence’.. Light enough and just wide enough to complement then instil an element of safety to said ride.. This primarily from the wheel base in relation to wheel and truck width.. Far larger ‘Surface area’ covered, thus greater stability…

Ride height rolls in under three inches stationary. With relative to the specific rider a probable flex of one to two inches once underway.. Pace with caution on rough ground as to much in the way of vigour in your stride will leave you ‘Bottomed-out’.. thus Stationary little unexpectedly… This inch or so in flex can be ‘mastered’ to give a full stride at the ‘low’ point of flex.. Add pace.. These elements in ‘series’ leave you rolling at quite a pace.. With ample stability to boot.. Your away…
The ride height for us were well matched to the terrain travelled thus far, Straight urban settings.. Hills a quarter mile in length, fairly steep in decline.. Also cruising around the amenities complex quite suited and above all a comfort like no other to be had both ’rolling’, stationary’ and ‘at pace‘…

Regarding hardware, setup ideas…
Risers on the rear, just to ease the strain, although this may ‘throw’ the ride height out to much, along with this apparent comfort in ride…
With the plankail setting ‘rear’ height, one single riser on the front ..
If we did factor in a riser or two around the rear then the ‘nose’ set could be as much as three wedge high.. Which is quite enough for us…
The Plankail seems enough to deal with the average in urban setting.. Yet to hit the park, with a discussion around ‘Bowls’ heading towards the.. ‘Doable’.. ‘Weary of the flex’… resulting agreement being we’ll give it a go..

Neither side an issue to stride.. As striding with both legs, especially at pace can be a little un-nerving on fresh protos’s, and weird ideas.. With the ZLBMarkWIA again the solid ride comes through giving platform for even, and persisted striding, both at ‘pace‘… and in ’Mosey’ (Slow Cruising, significantly faster than walking) .. A pace such as.. ‘left‘.. Hold out then ‘right’ and so on sees you moving adequately, stability un-compromised regardless of ’over balance’ either way..

All positives towards the ’Distance Pusher’ concept..

A nod to the Alligators.. 70mm of ’good’, ’clean’, stable rolling.. Seems barely a road noise to report.. Nor surface to ’Corse’.. We have found ample room ’on deck’.. Twin grip patches (best part of a third of the board) and tail to boot… Rocking between the trucks as is the nature of the design keeping the centre ’true’, a swift response is on the cards for both ‘sprint’ and ‘kurb trouble’… enabling the riders pace to increase evenly and without scupper…

As is the way with these guys.. Thoroughly enjoyed.. Never endured…
